Update: Wednesday — Jan 26, 2022
Please be aware The GARCC is currently in an OUTBREAK STATUS.
Currently, we have three residents that have been diagnosed with Covid. The results from last Thursday's (January 20) testing revealed no new resident cases. We have intermittent staff that test positive.
We will continue to test twice a week. We have implemented additional infection prevention protocols for the facility and continue to adjust as testing and contract tracing is completed.
At the present time, we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE VIDEO CALLS OVER IN PERSON VISITS, especially for our 4th floor.
You may still visit your loved, however, your visitation will be at your own risk.
Visitation is restricted to 2 family members at a time and only in the residents' rooms. Please know that this is a fluid situation which we are monitoring and responding to with both care and urgency toward your loved ones.
Additionally, the 2nd and 3rd floor dining rooms are closed and staff must wear full PPE.
**Please note that all common visiting areas are closed.**
We ask that you please follow the general rules below during your visit with us and your loved ones:
1) Wear Your Mask. Especially in common areas or traveling the patient care units.
*****Surgical or procedure mask is strongly recommended
2) No more than 2 visitors per resident at any time.
We understand this is difficult to track in large families, however,
please honor this and take turns if a "double booking" happens.
3) Common areas are closed at this time. All visits are in the room only.
Please do not escort the resident out of the room. Please do not 'take a walk' around
the unit or on our first floor, especially with your loved one.
(You may use the public restroom; the key is at the Nurses Station.)
4) Social Distance. Please adhere to area maximum capacity postings and
maintain a 6 foot distance when possible.
5) Use the call light in the room for assistance.
Or call the reception desk 847-459-8700 for other assistance.
6) Follow additional Infection Control precautions outlined on the units.
Please visit this webpage for ongoing visitation updates before arriving at the facility.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATION!
